Mr. Eric Davis
I was appointed Principal of Dr. James L. Burch Elementary for the
School of Excellence In Education Charter District in August 2008. I
joined SEE in November 2004 as an eighth grade Science Teacher at Saenz
Middle School with SEE. Beginning in August 2006, until my appointment as
Principal in August 2008, also serving as the Vice Principal at Dr. Harmon Kelley
Elementary School. Prior to joining SEE I was a Firefighter in my native
Corpus Christi from 1998 to 2004.
In my first full year as Vice Principal, I am blessed to have the highly devoted faculty &
staff at Dr. Harmon Kelley Elementary School led the third grade TAKS students
to Exemplary in Reading. In my second full year the third grade TAKS students
were Recognized in Reading & Math within the district. In 2004, I am committed to SEE in preparing students academically, socially, and emotionally
for college and the workforce by creating a college-bound culture in every school.
School of Excellence in Education prepares students for higher education
throughout their academic careers by laying a solid educational foundation in the
earliest grades, promoting Advanced Placement and dual-credit courses in
secondary school, and emphasizing to students and their parents at all grade levels
that college is both possible and essential.
I have earned an Associates of Arts degree at Central Christian College (1992) in
McPherson, KS, a Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of The Incarnate Word
(2001), and I am currently working on a Master’s degree in Education at Ashford University.
