Dear Burch Families,
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and share my
excitement about my appointment as principal at Burch Elementary
School. Burch Elementary School has a reputation of excellence
and I feel fortunate to be joining a school culture focused on
student learning, a commitment to high expectations, innovation and
collaboration. It is my intent to continue to carry out these
important traditions and practices. I would like to build on
the same reputation here at Burch Elementary School and invite you to
help us determine what is best for your child by attending parent
conferences and academic events.
I would like to share some information about my educational background
and professional experience. After graduating from Roy Miller
High School Corpus Christ, TX, I attended University of The Incarnate
Word. While at University of The Incarnate Word, I studied
Psychology at the College of Humanities in San Antonio, TX. After
receiving my Bachelor's degree in Psychology, I have chosen to
attend Ashford University where I am completing a Masters in
Education-Teaching Technology. I was a teacher assistant in
Corpus Christi for five years before moving to San Antonio where I
taught for three years. I spent three years teaching in San
Antonio while also pursuing my teaching certification in Special
Education. I am currently pursuing my certification in Educational
Leadership. I have spent the last four years in San Antonio, TX as
an elementary administrator.
I look forward to being a part of a warm and caring school environment
and working together with each of you this year. Please feel
free to call or stop by for a visit. If you have questions or
concerns, pleased do not hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,
Eric W. Davis, Principal
